What comes to mind when you hear “Self-Care”? Bubble baths, pedicures, a weekend away? Those are all awesome but are things most of us need to carve out time for and tend to be occasional activities. We need to care for ourselves daily!
I know…we are so busy caring for others and facing the demands of juggling work, home and other responsibilities there is no time left for ourselves. It’s time that changed.
If we don’t care for ourselves, we will have less and less to give others!
This week, find 15 minutes a day, longer if you can, to make an appointment with yourself. Plan something you enjoy doing – read a book just for fun, explore a cookbook for new recipes to try, craft, color, journal, or go for a walk in nature.
Whatever feeds you soul and empties your mind…do that! Do it for as many days as you can, and don’t allow things to get in the way.
Self-Care doesn’t need to be complicated, and it doesn’t have to be a grand event. Reminding yourself daily of what feeds you and doing it will refresh you and help you serve others better.
